My name is Brian Cave and I’m the owner and Certified HERS Rater of Home Resource Consultants Inc.

And this is my story-

I have been in the construction industry for over 30 years, starting out as a carpenter and worked my way up, to new home construction and land development.  Over the years I have been involved in well over 200 new construction builds, multiple land development deals and endless remodeling.  Needless to say, I know my way around the home building industry.

 About eight years ago, I saw the writing on the wall. With all the code changes coming into effect, included "the energy code" I realized that this was going to be part of our building future. This is all we need, as builders, more work, more costs and no return. That's when I decided to go get certified as a Hers Rater. I have been a Certified Hers Rater for about 7 years now and have been working with my present customers to get them through this as painlessly as possible. I use my experience from my past and new knowledge of energy efficiency, to help my clients pass the Hers Ratings and build more efficient homes.
